Description

The Oil Leak Detection Kit is designed specifically for in-plant identification of oil leakage from joints, seals and fittings used in hydraulic, circulation systems, gear drives and compressor applications. Oil leakage is costly in terms of oil loss, potential oil starvation and equipment failure, unscheduled downtime, oil replenishment costs, waste treatment costs, safety and environmental costs. This kit can also be used to detect fuel leaks (gasoline or diesel.)

This kit employs a cordless, rechargeable LED Leak Detection Flashlight that is super-high intensity, portable, powerful and rugged to easily detect points of oil leakage. A small amount of fluorescent dye is added to the reservoir where leaks readily show up under the special LED violet light.

Notes:

LED Leak Detection Flashlight is not approved for use in hazardous atmospheres. Do not attempt to use it in area requiring explosion-proof lighting.

Fluorescent yellow/green dyes recommended concentration (range):
OIL: 1 oz. (30 ml) to 3 gals (11.4L) to 1 oz. per 8 gals (30.3 L) depending on oil or fluid
FUEL: 1 oz. (30 ml) per 12-18 gals (45.4-68.1 L)
